How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Psychotherapy has been shown to have benefits for individuals who undertake it. Over time, therapy often leads to a significant reduction in feelings of distress, increased satisfaction in interpersonal relationships, greater personal awareness and insight, increased skills for managing stress, and resolutions to specific problems.

If you are ready and willing to take the steps to find yourself, I would be honored to support you in that journey.

Can we meet in-person or virtually?

I currently offer both in-person and virtual therapy for individuals in Massachusetts; and virtual therapy for individuals in Pennsylvania.

why don’t you accept insurance?

My work with clients is extremely individualized. If I were to take insurance, our care would be dictated by the insurance company. Some of the support I provide for clients would not be covered by insurance, but would be in the best interest of their continued growth.

Most insurance companies need a diagnosis for reimbursement, and have the right to terminate benefits before it might be therapeutically appropriate. I may have to use a diagnosis just to get coverage, when I don't believe that to be the reason for care.

If I were to take insurance, our sessions are not 100% confidential. Insurance companies have the right to audit my session notes.

If your insurance has out of network benefits, I can provide monthly Super Bills for reimbursement.

I’m still not sure about therapy. Can I ask you some questions?

Yes! Please reach out to schedule a free 15-minute phone or video consultation with me. I am happy to answer any questions, discuss your needs, and determine if we would be a good fit to move forward with therapy.
